This piece was designed to be similar to the ceramic work, Twinling's Teafarers, but with a number of subtle and overt differences.
The original
concept was advanced and tweaked to create another unique new art work.
The porcelain clay, which was of my own making, was formulated in an effort to achieve richer and more vivid colors in the finished ceramic product.
Moreover, the teapot was designed to show greater fluidity. This was achieved by exercising the expression of its freedom of motion and flow.
The ship upon which the seahorses were mounted was redesigned to give it more height and thus provide a more dynamic appearance than that of the original work.
