- Ceramic chess pieces can be designed and sculpted to the buyer's specifications. They are sold either individually or as a complete, integrated, one-of-a-kind, 32-piece set.
- Modifications are introduced to accommodate the prospective buyer's thoughts and desires with regard to design, construction, detail and coloration. Meaningful interchanges are encouraged in the planning, design and execution phases of these works.
- Intricately-detailed hand-built pieces are crafted of stoneware clay. The main figures of each piece are hand-carved. The base of each work is wheel-thrown.
- The works are hand-painted with underglazes. Additional coloration is applied with overglazes and lusters, after first firing, as needed to ensure that all the complex design objectives are met.
- The pieces are kiln fired as often as necessary to complete the work.
- The cost is $50 for each individually-made game piece. Collectively, the price is $1,500 for the full unique 32-piece hand-carved ceramic chess set.
