My "LAF Line" of ceramic work is a tribute to my sister, Lynn Alice Friedman, who died recently of breast cancer after a long, brave fight that she waged with unfailing humor and strength of purpose. The ceramic teapots and other functional vessels are intended to have a touch of joy and whimsy. Their LAF designation signifies not only my sister's name, but the lines on a laughing woman's face. Each piece is a prayer for Lynn and a statement of hope embodied in maintaining humor in the face of adversity.
